The Chianti Classico Rocca di Montegrossi represents the flagship wine of the company and is produced every year. It is primarily composed of Sangiovese (approximately 90%) and also contains a small percentage of Canaiolo (10%).
Maturation Process
The maturation of this wine mainly takes place in Allier oak barrels and tanks for a period of approximately 12 months
Bottle Aging
After the maturation phase, the Chianti Classico Rocca di Montegrossi is bottled without undergoing filtration processes. Subsequently, it undergoes bottle aging for an additional 6 months before being released to the market.
Sensory Characteristics
In the glass, this wine presents itself with a lively ruby red color, accentuated by violet reflections. The aromas are predominantly fruity, with hints of wild berries and sour cherries.
Structure and Longevity
